This Hagi Ware Chawan is so pleasing to handle. The glaze is so smooth, covering the Yamaguchi clay with colors reminiscent of foggy mornings. The triple glaze dip creates a triangle on the base of the bowl, adding another dimension of artistic expression.

Here's a great 2-in-1 strainer. It's simple and elegant to use with any gongfu setup for straining from pot or gaiwan to pitcher. The mesh is also the perfect fineness for casual matcha sifting. Some meshes are too tight or loose for matcha, but this one is great. You can set it across your chawan and sift right into your preheated and dried bowl.
If you are a regular matcha maker, you might want to invest in a chasen tate. It helps the chasen (whisk) hold its shape between uses to prolong its integrity. A simple item that will help in the long run. This one is an off white color.
