A perfect teapot for any tea setup. This simple kyusu is made from Arita porcelain in Saga prefecture. The walls are thicker and the inside is lines with a stainless steel mesh to filter leaves. If needed, this mesh can be removed to deep clean the pot. This timeless shape and neutral color makes it a welcome addition to any teaware collection. Because it is not porous, this pot can be used for a variety of Japanese teas.
Please be mindful of caring for this tea pot. Rinse it well after use and never put it in the dishwasher.
This chawan is glazed in a way that separates upon firing, revealing a network of fine cracks in the top of the glaze. The glaze is still smooth and whole, and will not crack further, but the result of this technique is visually stunning.
This Hagi Ware Chawan is so pleasing to handle. The glaze is so smooth, covering the Yamaguchi clay with colors reminiscent of foggy mornings. The triple glaze dip creates a triangle on the base of the bowl, adding another dimension of artistic expression.
Made in Gifu Prefecture, this chawan has a beautiful and classic shino ware look. With earthen-red clay peeking through the thick white glaze, the chawan is as pleasing to handle as it is to view. The sturdy base makes whisking an easy task and the sides are perfect to cup in your hands as you enjoy each sip of fresh matcha.
This nice little pear-shaped clay pot has a beveled and textured exterior and unglazed interior. The outside is freckles with gold dots to match the cups (sold separately). Each pot holds 140ml.
